WELLNESS EXAMS
Part of your pet's overall health should include an annual physical exam. This procedure allows us to determine the overall physical health of your pet and also allows us to get a close look at issues that are breed specific. The physical exam does not, however, allow us to determine the overall health of the internal organs. We recommend any pet between two and seven years old to have a comprehensive blood test and any pet over seven; a senior blood profile. In any health evaluation, early detection is the key as it allows for better treatment options.

MICROCHIPPING
All pets should have a microchip. Most commonly an after thought, they provide a form of identification that can be traced back to you, the owner. It is a simple, painless, and inexpensive way to protect your pet. Once a year, at the annual check-up, we will scan your pet to verify that a microchip is in place.
VACCINATIONS
As part of your pet's preventative care we recommend vaccinations that will help protect against certain diseases that can be detrimental to your pet's well being. All pets are different so ask what vaccinations are recommended for your pet.

DENTAL CARE
A major part of your pet's health is oral and dental hygiene. We recommend year round preventative care of your pet's teeth and gums and yearly examinations to determine the oral health of your pet. A dental cleaning is recommended once a year in most cases. Periodontal disease is common and is a serious problem for any pet's health.
BOARDING
We have boarding facilities to care for most of your pets. Located in our hospital, they are air-conditioned/heated and we have a Doctor on call 24/7 should a medical situation arise. We feed high quality foods or you can bring your own. If your pet is on any medications, our trained staff will administer at no extra charge. Reservations can be booked anytime but space is limited around the holidays and spring break. We recommend making reservations at the same time you make your own travel plans. For the protection of your pet and other's we require all pets staying in our facility to be up to date on vaccines and lab tests. These include the following:
DOGS: Rabies, DA2PP, Bordetella, Heartworm Exam, and a Fecal Exam
CATS: Rabies, FVRCP, and a Fecal Exam

SURGERY
On occasion surgical procedures may be a necessary part of your pet's treatment. We can perform most surgical procedures. In some cases, we may refer you to an outside specialist. When performed in hospital you will be provided the approximate price as well as recovery expectations. Surgeries are scheduled Monday through Friday and your pet will be in recovery for several hours. Surgery drop-offs are between 8am and 9am.
